How a Central Washington design studio built a national wallpaper brand.
D. Marie Interiors, a regional interior design firm based in Ellensburg, WA, partnered with Olive Group to expand into direct-to-consumer wallpaper sales — shipping to all 50 states.
The challenge
D. Marie Interiors had built a strong reputation in Central Washington as a high-end interior design and wallpaper specialist. The team knew there was a national audience for their wallpaper aesthetic — they just didn’t have the channel to reach it.
What we built
DTC e-commerce store
A conversion-focused wallpaper shop at d-marie-interiors.com — separate domain, separate brand voice, built for browse-to-buy flow. Optimized for product discovery, sample requests, and full-room visualization.
SEO for design intent searches
Targeted content for the high-intent design queries that aren’t just generic “buy wallpaper” — “wallpaper for entryway,” “removable wallpaper for renters,” “designer-led wallpaper collections.” Long-tail wins compound.
Local SEO playbook in parallel
The design studio also needed to keep ranking locally across Central Washington (Ellensburg, Yakima, Wenatchee, Suncadia, Cle Elum). We built dedicated landing pages for each market with city-specific service framing — and most of them now rank top-5 for “[city] kitchen designer” and “[city] kitchen remodel.”
Editorial content engine
Project stories, design philosophy posts, and trend pieces designed to be cited by both Google and AI assistants when users ask interior design questions.
